The Wilsford Manor estate has a driven pheasant and partridge shoot, with up to five days which can be booked by clients every shooting season. Each season runs from 1st October to 31st January, with partridge more numerous up to the end of November, and pheasant more numerous thereafter.
The topography is typical Wiltshire downland, with attractive contours for shooting and woodland laid out solely for that purpose.
The shoot, over 800 acres, comprises a total of nine drives, with five drives shot per day (typically four before lunch an one after). A minimum of six and maximum of eight guns can shoot per day. Dogs are welcome. Birds shot in a day typically total 250-350, with the largest number ever shot in a single day having been over 700.
